of interest

So I met this guy a couple of weeks ago, (this Friday!) and there is a hint of intrest. it may be nothing. with my luck he is probably engaged or something. However, I have not let that stop the plans from forming...ha ha ha. So, I am currently pooling Jordan's resources in order to aquire more information of interest. More to come. I hope.

Naked

People have a sense about nakedness. Never attempt any activity naked unless you want company. As soon as you try to do anything naked someone will seek you out and find you. This can cause great embarrassment or just some really great blogging material.

I Wanna Awana

Tonight was so exciting as I got to participate in my first Awana club in ever so long! I have missed it. I used to volunteer at an Awana club at my church but they canceled the program last October. Since then I have honestly missed it a lot. Tonight it was like being reunited with an old friend...the only thing that would make it better was if it was a SonLight club. This particular club is in desperate need of more leaders so they willingly accepted my help. It will pose some very interesting opportunities as so many of my students are in attendance. Hopefully this will help me to like some of them more. :-) I am sure that there will be more to come. I for one can't wait!

Dropping Hints

Tact. It has never really been my thing. I want something. Information. He has it. I want it. We are just friends. But are we the kind of friends that can share something like that? He has asked me. I may have been less than supportive. But only because the girl wasn't interested. He could help me. I could use him.

Maybe I will just have to stick with a simpler plan. More direct. Less coy. This whole dropping hints thing didn't work too well. I love the game.

X-box

My brothers came up to go to a concert this evening. They brought their x-box with them. The left it here with me while they are at the concert. Here I sit, coughing up my lungs; repeatedly playing Fusion Frenzy minigames...Only one game to be exact...Man, I suck at this. But it is, oh, so very addicting...I wonder if they might leave it here with me for the rest of the weekend...For the rest of my life...lol.

NyQuil Realities and DayQuil Dreams

I have been quite sick since Thursday. I go to work and I sleep...That's it. I have drugged myself without limits...Screw what the labels recommend...I have a serious need to recuperate quickly.

I came home from work on Friday and I slept till Sunday morning. I would occasionally move from my bed to the couch and then back to my bed for some variety. But I have never enjoyed sleep so much in my life. I have had the most vivid and beautiful dreams. And I have been so blessed. After sleeping like I was competing with Sleeping Beauty for a gold medal I awoke to realize that I had a lot of work to do before Monday. And even though I was exhausted I somehow managed to get accomplished everything that needed to be done. Whew! It was a miracle.

The reality is that throughout this weekend I have really had an opportunity to breathe, to slow down, to step back and appreciate just how good my life is. I have just been way too busy. While entirely strung out on NyQuil I saw that I am working at a job that I can really enjoy. I have friends that love me. And life goes on, even if I don't get all of the papers graded or all of the bulletin boards completed. For the first time in a long while, I had the time to dream, it was worth it. I have missed dreaming.

I walzed into work today at 5:45am singing and smiling to myself. I had a really great day. I still have a violent cough, but today, every time I coughed I reminded myself of those NyQuil realities and those beautiful DayQuil dreams.

A Printer and the Return of Christ

Wal*Mart was having this fantastic sale on printers, so, being my spontaneous self I went out and bought one for my classroom computer. I was so excited as I envisioned the time that this was going to save me. Plus I could print out report cards and such at the school whenever the parents decided that they wanted one and I wouldn't have to be all, "ok, I'll print that out and get it to you first thing in the morning"

So I take my great "bargain" of a printer to the school, whistling the whole way. I followed the brief directions, inserting ink cartridges, plugging in power cords, connecting USB cables...connecting USB cables....still...connecting USB cables. And I think to myself, "that's strange, I can't seem to find a USB plug in thingy on my computer" Turns out that my computer at school is so old that it doesn't have any USB ports, back in the days of the dinosaurs, (i.e. when it was made)they had no friggin clue what a USB cord was!

So I head back to Wal*Mart hoping that I can get some connector do dad or something. And you can get connectors that hook old printers up to new computers but you can't get connectors to hook new printers up to old computers. So I have a perfectly good printer with extra ink cartridges and a free ream of paper all boxed in my classroom waiting for either a newer computer or the return of Christ...Whichever comes first.
